Q-A: Prayer in the Grace Dispensation

Image
Prayer in the Grace Dispensation The Grace Dispensation brought about MANY changes in lifestyle and patterns. Prayer is one of these attributes that radically changed from how the Gospels represent it.  Let's have a look at prayer in this grace dispensation. One cannot deny that the change in dispensation from Prophecy to Mystery altered the entire lifestyle of the believer. When Paul started revealing the mystery doctrine, his teachings were quite literally the flip-side of a coin from the Kingdom message. God's new economy was grace, through the finished cross work of Jesus Christ. Because Jesus had done ALL that was required to satisfy the law, law that accused and condemned men , God's grace could abound, setting men free, and regenerating their dead spirit, filling it with the Spirit of Life in Christ. Romans 3:20 The

Similarities of Peter and Paul in ACTS

Similarities of Peter and Paul in ACTS It is remarkable how perfectly some major events parallel between Peter and Paul. (I'm pretty certain it's by divine design.) The book of Acts revolves primarily around 2 apostles, Peter and Paul. One could divide the book of Acts as follows. Chapters 1-12 focus on Peter as the main apostle to the Jews, and chapters 13-28 focus on Paul as the apostle to the Gentiles. If you read the book of Acts from start to finish, without taking note of the exploits of these two men, you will certainly miss the incredible similarities that occurred across the timespan of their ministries. Many people might chalk this up to coincidence, but for me, I know God's hand is upon it. As a matter of fact, I can imagine how God thought it would be good to ev

S-A: (Rev20-6) He that hath part in the first resurrection

Image
Scripture Analysis: (Rev.20:6) Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection As good as reading the Bible is, we miss a LOT of valuable details as our eyes simply pass over the words. To really get into the heart of the verse, it is important to — slow down , to — take note what it says, and to — understand it in the context of rightly dividing the passage in which it resides. ---------------------------- Rev.20:6  Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years. The book of Revelation can be an intimidating and cryptic book, but when you stay within the bo

Q-A: Why do we go through Suffering?

Image
Q-A: Why do we go through Suffering? Suffering does for us what we cannot do for ourselves. There have been a few inconvenient, heartfelt, and even painful things happening in and around my life, and to my friends, at the time of writing this post, that has caused me to look into the topic of suffering. It's not a great topic to write about, but learning the facts of suffering and understanding why it is there, helps us work through it, and provides us some form of respite when we know the answers to questions like; Why does suffering come? Why can't God snap His fingers and take it away? What is the purpose of it? Why does suffering come? The fact is that all mankind are born as children of Adam, so it's not strange that all men bear suffering. "...by one man (Adam) Sin entered into the world, and death by sin;

Q-A: What is the Real Meaning of a Dispensation?

Image
Q-A: What is the Real Meaning of a Dispensation? It's not a period of time. It's a way of life. In the scripture below, Paul clearly writes of the start of a new dispensation; how that the mystery (that he writes about) will cause a new way of life for those who come in under its new guidelines. Note that it's the guidelines that defines the dispensation. It has nothing to do with an age, or a period or a duration of time. Eph.3:1-7 For this reason I, Paul, the prisoner of Christ Jesus for you Gentiles— 2 if indeed you have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which was given to me for you, 3 how that by revelation He made known to me the mystery [a new pattern of living] * ..., 5 which in other ages was not made known to the sons of men, as it has now been revealed by the Sp
