OBS: ACTS - The Transition (Part 5 - Insights into the New Covenant)

OBS: ACTS, The Transition (Part 5) The focus is not so much on studying Acts, as it is on using the book to teach us about dispensation truths. Acts 1:5   For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence. See the video lesson of this study here. Insights into the New Covenant Jesus had been preaching about the Kingdom throughout His earthly ministry. The gospel message being proclaimed at the time was that the Kingdom was at hand and that it could come if all of Israel would believe. As we will see in some scriptures regarding the New Covenant below, one of the aspects of the covenant was an innate knowledge of the law, written on the heart, since God would place His Spirit within them. So, when Jesus told the 11 disciples

OBS: ACTS - The Transition (Part 4 - To the Jews First)

OBS: ACTS, The Transition (Part 4) The focus is not so much on studying Acts, as it is on using the book to teach us about dispensation truths. Acts 1:4  ...  And, being assembled together with them, [He] commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me.  ... See the video lesson of this study here. All Jews had to be saved first! As Jesus earthly ministry progressed from his early ministry to his resurrection and ascension, we see a specific trend in his instructions to the disciples with regards to the audience they could preach to. Notice this in the following bulleted points below, Throughout His ministry, Jesus was clear that the disciples DO NOT go to Gentiles or the Samaritans . ( Matt.10:5-6 )

Paul's Credibility (P2)

Image
Paul's Credibility (Part 2) Paul made some incredible claims in his writings. He claims to be the "mater builder", "the Apostle to the Gentiles" and encourages his converts that they should "imitate and follow him". In this short series we will investigate these claims and determine how Paul could say such bold things. This study will bring validity and confirmation to the credibility of Paul and to the scriptures he was inspired to write to the Body of Christ. This is Part 2, and a continuation of  Part 1 of the study started here . (Please read Part 1 for context). How could Paul claim all these things only a few years after Christ's ministry? It all starts here... Genesis 12:1-5 Now the Lord had said to Abram: "Get out of your country, from your family and from your father's house, to a land that I will show you. 2 I will make you a great n

S-A: (Rev20-6) He that hath part in the first resurrection

Image
Scripture Analysis: (Rev.20:6) Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection As good as reading the Bible is, we miss a LOT of valuable details as our eyes simply pass over the words. To really get into the heart of the verse, it is important to — slow down , to — take note what it says, and to — understand it in the context of rightly dividing the passage in which it resides. ---------------------------- Rev.20:6  Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years. The book of Revelation can be an intimidating and cryptic book, but when you stay within the bo

OBS: God's Word is a Progressive Plan (Part.6.1) This is  Part 6  of the Series Click here for the previous lesson:  Part 5.2 (Point #2) The Meaning of Water Baptism in the Law and Grace Dispensations Water baptism is a widely disputed subject in churches today and disputes can range from it not being necessary to it being an absolute requirement for salvation. Furthermore, if it is practiced, how must it be done and in what name must it be committed. Churches have been split based on peoples beliefs and so much confusion still exists regarding this subject, simply because many misunderstand the topic and do not rightly divide the truth to bring it into context and clarity. In this post I'm not going to deep dive into a study on water baptism, but I do want to compare what it means between the law and grace dispensations and bring you to an understanding of what THE BIBLE SAYS about it and not what men's traditions say about it .

Q-A: What was the Gospel in Jesus' day (Part.1)?

Image
Q-A: What was the Gospel in Jesus' day? (Part.1) John the Baptist and Jesus preached the " gospel of the kingdom ." The good news was to get ready, (to repent and get baptized), as the prophesied Millennial Kingdom was at hand. Why? Because the King of the kingdom had come. Mark 1:14-15 Now after John had been taken into custody, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of God, 15 and saying, " The time is fulfilled (Gal 4:4) , and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent and believe in the gospel ". Do you see anything about the cross, about the blood, about the death and resurrection of Christ in the Kingdom Gospel? No! So, how did a person become a believer and obtain righteousness in Jesus' day? There were four conditions to becoming saved in Jesus' day . Please note that all four of these conditions DO NOT apply in the Grace Gospel of today. I am only listing these for comparison purposes for when we deal with our Grace Gospel that is
