Paul's Credibility (P6)

Image
Paul's Credibility (Part 6) Paul made some incredible claims in his writings. He claims to be the "mater builder", "the Apostle to the Gentiles" and encourages his converts that they should "imitate and follow him". In this short series we will investigate these claims and determine how Paul could say such bold things. This study will bring validity and confirmation to the credibility of Paul and to the scriptures he was inspired to write to the Body of Christ. This is Part 6 . To gain the full context of this article, start in Part 1 here . Interesting similarities between Abraham and Paul With all the evidence and scriptures I have shared in the last 5-parts of this study, I'd like to end it with an interesting

OBS: ACTS, Searching for Grace  (Part 2) ACTS is a book of transition, but it's not just a change in program, but a significant change in the 'Good News', and how men would now come into right standing with God. Acts 9:22 But Saul increased the more in strength, and confounded the Jews which dwelt at Damascus, proving that this is [the] very Christ [the Messiah] . 23 And after that many days were fulfilled, the Jews took counsel to kill him: Saul's integration into the Jewish Believers The highlighted scripture above (Acts 9:23) is a reference to the 3-years that Paul spend in Arabia, (Gal.1:17) . Luke (in this passage) does not give the reason for Saul going to Arabia and also does not have many details of what Saul actually experienced out there. It is Paul himself (in his epistles) that provides a few more det

Acts 9:17 And Ananias went his way, and entered into the house; and putting his hands on him said, Brother Saul, the Lord, even Jesus, that appeared unto thee in the way as thou camest, hath sent me, that thou mightest receive thy sight, and be filled with the Holy Ghost. 18 And immediately there fell from his eyes as it had been scales: and he received sight forthwith, and arose, and was baptized. And when he [Saul] had received meat, he was strengthened. Then was Saul certain days with the discipl

OBS: ACTS - The Transition (Renamed to, ACTS - Searching for Grace)

Image
OBS: ACTS, Searching for Grace  (Intro) ACTS is a book of transition, but it's not just a change in program, but a significant change in the 'Good News', and how men would now come into right standing with God. This series called: ACTS - The Transition , is going to branch into a new direction at this time and focus on the transition of the believer, from the influences of the Kingdom program to what we know today, a member of the body of Christ under grace, without works. I'm renaming the series, ACTS - Searching for Grace to differentiate it from the original study. Please see this short video below for the reasons and my motivation for this 'seasonal' change.

OBS: ACTS - The Transition (Part 7 - Persecution and the Spread of the Gospels)

Image
OBS: ACTS, The Transition (Part 7) The focus is not so much on studying Acts, as it is on using the book to teach us about dispensation truths. Acts 1:8   But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. Below are the basic notes overview. For details please see the video lesson of this study here . Persecution and the Spread of the Gospel(s) In Acts 1:8 , Jesus, as He did in Luke 4:17-20 (Isa.61:1-2) , could have stopped speaking right in the middle of the verse. He could have stopped speaking after the word " Samaria ", because that is as far as this verse is going to be fulfilled where the Jews
