Paul's Credibility (P1)

Image
Paul's Credibility (Part 1) Paul made some incredible claims in his writings. He claims to be the "mater builder", "the Apostle to the Gentiles" and encourages his converts that they should "imitate and follow him". In this short series we will investigate these claims and determine how Paul could say such bold things. Below are a few scriptures taken from Paul's epistles. In these are some very bold and very strong claims. I'd like you to slow down and take your time to read through each scripture below to see if you can identify the part in it that presents a bold claim or assertion or statement that Paul makes . We will briefly analyze each statement below and then resume in other posts within this series to prove how Paul could say these radical things. This study will bring validity and confirmation to the credibility of Paul and to the script

The Difference between Ye and You

Image
The Difference between Ye and You Unlike some other languages, modern English employs the words "you" and "your" as both singular and plural forms of the second person pronoun. This can make the use of the pronoun "you" confusing. Is it singular, or is it plural? Modern English speakers often use clarifying phrases such as "you two," "you people," "all of you," or "you all" when they mean "you" in the plural rather than the singular. Both the Hebrew of the Old Testament and the Koine Greek of the New Testament maintain the distinction between the singular and plural forms of "you" that have been lost in modern English. This presents a problem in modern English translations, whereas in Old English, the distinctions were clear. The uses of "you", "ye", "thou", and "thee", in the King James Bible, are not arbitrary choices. They

OBS: ACTS - The Transition (Part 2 - The Great Commission and Water Baptism)

OBS: ACTS, The Transition (Part 2) The focus is not so much on studying Acts, as it is on using the book to teach us about dispensation truths. Acts 1: 2 ... until the day in which he was taken up, after that he through the Holy Ghost had given commandments unto the apostles whom he had chosen: ... See the video lesson of this study here . The Great Commission and Baptism On the day that Jesus ascended into heaven, He gave His 12 apostles commandments, instructing them where to go, what to teach and what to do in order to continue the work that He started and the plan of God for Israel. The commandments in view here are a reference to, what we know today as,  The Great Commission . It involves: (1) where to go , (2) what to teach , (3) what to do , and (4) proofs to verify their message , Matt.2

The Bible is Complete

Image
The Bible is complete, and no more scripture can be added to it. NOTHING more must be added or removed from the Bible. It is a FINISHED work. The writings of Paul introduce a brand new gospel and body of doctrine for the Grace Dispensation. This grace doctrine that Paul wrote, is the last 'new' revelations that God provided humanity by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit and pertain to how humanity is to live in the time of His grace. These epistles completed the writings that make up scripture. Even though other books, like the book of Revelation, may have been written later than Paul's epistles, the content of these books, do not add anything 'new' to God's revealed truth, but only expounds on information that had previously been prophesied. In the scriptures below, Paul clearly says that his writings about the dispensation of grace f

The Faith Stream

Image
The Faith Stream Therefore it is of faith that it might be according to grace, so that the promise might be sure to ALL the seed. God started a new program when he called Abraham. If you look at the timeline in the banner at the top of this website, you will notice that from Abraham (AB), a new stream branches off from the main river of humanity . I call this new stream the "faith stream". Why? Well, that's quite easy to answer. It's called the faith stream because scripture refers to it by the same name . Once you have read this article, you too will recognize it and understand the significance of the faith stream in God's incredible plan of the redemption of believing humanity, and the restoration of creation. Before I can prove to you the faith stream , I need to

Q-A: What Happened to the Miracles?

Image
Q-A: What Happened to the Miracles? Today, God's focus is not on miracles that accommodate the flesh. God wants us to have faith in His Word and in His Son.. Signs, miracles, and wonders were significant in Israel's program. It was a covenant God made with them! Exodus 34:10 And he said, Behold, I make a covenant: before all thy people I will do marvels, such as have not been done in all the earth, nor in any nation: and all the people among which thou art shall see the work of the LORD: for it is a terrible thing that I will do with thee. Jesus said in John 4:48 "Except ye [Israel] see signs and wonders, ye will not believe". Paul himself writes in 1 Corinthians 1:22, "For the Jews require a sign, ..." , (Also see: Matt.12:38; Mark 8:11; John 2:18; 4:48 ). I've always wondered why Jews need signs and why signs and wond
